Exchange Program with Cal State Los Angeles

This is a non-degree exchange program between the Caltech Computing and Mathematical Sciences department and the California State University, Los Angeles. Participants are invited to enroll in select graduate courses within the CMS graduate options and the credits will be transferable to Cal State LA. Exchange Program with Scripps Institution of Oceanography

The Scripps Institution of Oceanography (SIO), University of California, San Diego, exchange permits Caltech graduate students to enroll in and receive credit for graduate courses offered by SIO. Arrangements should be made through the student's major graduate option and the Graduate Studies Office. The student must obtain the advance approval of the instructors of courses to be taken at SIO. In some cases, when it is in the best interests of the student, arrangements may be made for the student to be temporarily in full-time residence at SIO.

Thesis research done partly at SIO may be arranged directly by the student's option and the staff of appropriate research laboratories at SIO, without the necessity of enrolling for SIO courses designated for research; in this case the student will continue to be under the supervision of his or her Caltech thesis advisor and will enroll for Caltech research units.
